Prof. Lingjia Tang

Dr. Tang is research focuses on designing systems (architecture, compiler, runtime systems, distributed systems) for AI applications and Conversational AI systems. She has published more than 40 research papers at top venues for computer architecture, systems and AI such as ISCA, ASPLOS, MICRO and ACL. She has received awards including the Google research award, Facebook research award, JPMC faculty research award, ISCA/MICRO/ASPLOS Hall of Fame, and NSF Career award. She has graduated 11 Ph.D. students and mentored 6 post-doc fellows.

Dr. Yiping Kang

Yiping Kang earned his PhD from the University of Michigan and is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Computer Science Engineering
department at the University of Michigan. He is a research expert in natural language processing, computer vision, computer architecture and
systems.

Yiping was Head of Product at Clinc, leading the product development of the world’s most sophisticated conversational AI platform serving
millions of users worldwide.

Prof. Krisztian Flautner

Dr. Flautner is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the university, he was the Director of Strategy, Emerging Technology and incubation at Cisco, CEO of Banzai cloud, and former VP of Technology at ARM.

Dr. Christopher Clarke earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, specializing in Human-AI Interaction (HAI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). He also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Guyana, and a postgraduate degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Michigan.

Roland Daynauth

Roland Daynauth is a Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan, specializing in the evaluation of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the alignment of their performance assessments with human judgments. His research focuses on bridging the gap between automated metrics and human perceptions of quality, striving to develop methodologies that ensure AI systems are evaluated with greater accuracy, fairness, and reliability.
